Pgytech Createmate - a travel ready memorycard holder/reader
A common problem for datahorder like me who shoots a lot and with many devices, travels around and works a lot remotely is not to lost them. So far cards has been stored in their small cases which then are in dedicated pouch etc. Not so easy task and sometimes stuff just get lost.
Pgytech Createmate
Createmate is a combination of rugged, rubber casing, memorycard holder and superfast memorycard reader. There`s even carabiner clip to attach it to backbag etc.
Protective rubber casing feels solid and warm when holding. It can be removed if not needed.
On memorycard holder section are slots for four SD cards, four micro SD cards, two nano sims and tool. Slots are placed on both sides of the Createmate. For my use, there`s possibility to carry all needed cards for cameras, drones and DJI pocket. Even few nano SIMs if needed. Cable is little over 10cm, enough for place the device near the laptop. Cable can be wrapped around the case.
The reader section with SD and micro-SD slots are located on one side. I did some benchmarks with several cards. Fastest one which I had was Sony Tough 256GB and the read and write performance was measured with Blackmagic benchmark. Average read 230-240MB/s while writespeed was nearly 350MB/s. I would say the device maxed out the card´s speed. Connection type is usb-c.
